On my Wiki, I will create another page entitled Project. On this page, I will copy the text below then paste it on the Project page of my Wiki. I will then address the prompts and questions during class. These may be applied to my goals and progress for this cycle. I can identify them as "verify goals for my project", "affirm my project vision", "plan how I will show I did my project".

Goals:
One goal of my project is to explain that...People are able to learn to accept themselves in a humorous way
My second goal is to prepare a project that...is interesting and creative. It has to address the point I want to make of self-awareness in my presentation and paper
The third goal of my project is to communicate with the members of my subjects community who include: Friends, family memebers, aquaintances, neighbors...etc.
A fourth goal I plan for my project is that I distribute my questionare early. I have to plan things ahead of time and use my time well.
A final goal of my project is to interpret how...Laughing at ourselves is healthy, that we should not take ourselves so seriously by measuring ourselves against high standards.

Vision:
How will my project impact other people after I have completed it?
I want people to be aware/gain insight of their thoughts and behaviors and to be influenced to to lower their performance in achieving perfection.

Explain how my project relates to or connects with my thesis question?

Borrowing the techniques that comedians use to make us laugh are equally effective in analyzing ourselves while maintaining humor.

How do I foresee my project concluding in terms of results or product?

I hope to have a minimum of 5 responses as examples, ideally, 20 or more responses. I hope the subjects' responses get something out of it and help me support my thesis.

Products:
How will I demonstrate/evidence that I was on site, face-to-face and interacting with the people of my project? I will have filled out questionares.

Explanation
I asked friends and acquaintances if they would help me fill out my questionnaire which would ultimately allow them to laugh at their insecurities and dysfunctions. I think that many people put themselves down by calling themselves names. They would anonymously list their dysfunctions, but instead of putting themselves down more, they would write at least five reasons as to why they love being a shopaholic, workaholic, nerd or anything else. After they listed types of habits they do they wrote how they felt about themselves. Most people gave responses that made them laugh about themselves and feel better. One person who said that they loved being OCD said that after filling out the questionnaire they felt “Happyyyyy and better about myself.” This does show that finding humor in one’s character trait is an essential piece of self-acceptance. Characteristics that may be normal to one person may be absurd to others.

Conducting this project made me realize how good self-awareness is and how people look at each other. Laughing at one’s self is a useful tool because it leads to positive self-acceptance and helps people gain an understanding of themselves and others. My project’s results were similar to that of a comedian’s stand-up routine. A stand-up routine shows an audience how ridiculous situations in society can be. This perspective is influential and healthy for the mind, body, and soul of everyone.
